At a secret location somewhere in the Volcanic region of the Red Star Territories, is the headquarters of the Vigilante Group.  In their possession is the most valuable machine in the Galaxy - The Atomic Converter.
With this machine they can make anything they want - in any quantity!  The other factions would love to get their hands on this technology - however if they ever did - it would likely be used to tip the balance of power unfairly.  That is why it is heavily defended with laser cannons on all corners.  They are manned around the clock.
Vigilante also have 'fake' Skaylor robots that wander around to scare off anyone that might wander close to their secret headquarters.
So far nobody has discovered the location of Vigilante's base as it is in a remote and inhospitable area - where lava spirts randomly into the sky from active volcanoes.  The Atomic Converter draws its power from this lava.
